Carré Noir turns its promise into a sensory experience
Carré Noir, the branding, design and brand experience agency within Publicis Groupe, unveils its new promise: “We design branded experiences that drive emotional resonance.” More than a shift in positioning, this ambition reflects a strong conviction: today, a brand is no longer built solely through what it says or shows, but through what it makes people feel. Creating emotional resonance is becoming the most powerful way to spark desire, build attachment and preference, and fight indifference.
To bring this promise to life, rather than creating a manifesto or campaign, the agency chose a more unexpected path: giving Carré Noir a taste.

And so Antidote was born: a signature ritual designed as an emotional and sensory experience. “We decided to create the taste of Carré Noir because taste and smell are powerful senses: they bypass rational thought and take a direct route into our emotional memory, where they become deeply embedded.”
Created with sensory artist, perfumer and master blender Marlène Staiger, Antidote emerged from a collaborative exploration: what does Carré Noir taste like? The answers inspired a composition built around tensions and contrasts: acidity, depth, vibrancy, freshness and spice.

Already unveiled to the agency’s teams, Antidote is now becoming a genuine welcome ritual. Clients and prospective clients will be invited to discover the experience as soon as they arrive at Carré Noir, entering the agency’s world through the senses before words.
Because no emotion is universal, everyone is invited to choose their own “emotional resonance”: a personal olfactory signature that extends the experience:
With Antidote, Carré Noir transforms taste into a narrative and emotional language. More than a sensory experience, the project embodies the agency’s way of working: starting with a strategic intention and transforming it into an experience that is tangible, meaningful and memorable.

This creation is alcohol-free.
